犒军

在犒军仪式里,庙宇人士烹煮食物以慰劳天兵天将。


Three tables of cooked food are placed at the altar for the heavenly armies.
三桌食物摆放在天兵天将的神台前。
Besides cooked food, pails of grass with Joss sticks were offered to the heavenly horses.
除了食物,盛有草与线香的塑料桶被摆放在天兵天将的马儿前。

晋香

节日时, 神仙宫到本地许多九皇大帝庙宇晋香。.此外,许多九皇大帝庙宇也来到神仙宫晋香。 晋香时,双方交换礼物,进行短暂的仪式,加强双方的关系与友谊。

Shen Xian Gong’s visit to Feng San Gong (凤山宫) in Defu Lane. Such visits also reflect the deep friendships and ties between these temples.
神仙宫到德福巷(Defu Lane)的凤山宫晋香。这样的拜访显示了友庙之间深厚的友谊与关系。
Besides exchange of gifs, short rituals such as Cao Ying (操营) was also performed during the temple visits.
晋香时,除了交换礼物,庙宇人士也进行一些短暂的仪式如操营。
Exchange of joss sticks between both temples at the end of the visit.
晋香完毕后,双方代表交换线香。

恭送圣驾

恭送圣驾在节日的最后一天举行,是节日里最忙碌的一天。庙宇人士从早到晚要进行各种仪式以恭送九皇大帝。


The first ritual is known as Qing Jiao (清醮), where the Taoist priest pray for blessings.
第一个仪式称为清醮。仪式中,道师祈求祝福。
Uncle Ah Huat folding the paper clothing donated by devotees for the Song Tian Gong (送天宫) ritual.
Uncle Ah Huat把信徒们捐献的纸制衣冠折起,供送天宫式使用。
Devotees and members of the temple bowing together with the offerings during the Xian Gong (献贡) ritual. The offerings include lanterns, flowers as well as their personal belongings.
在献贡仪式里,信徒与庙宇人士拿着供品鞠躬。供品包括灯笼,花朵与个人物品。
Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai was also involved in the one of the rituals, known as Lor Guan which requires members of the temple to toss paper money in order for the deities to overcome the obstacles.
中坛元帅参与路关仪式。仪式中,庙宇人士需要洒纸钱,让神明克服困难。
The Taoist priests and Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai leading members of the temples and devotees to the ritual of Song Tian Gong to send off the deities. The temple members and Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai will offer tea, then burn incense paper, banners, sugar cane and paper clothing.
道师与中坛元帅带领庙宇人士与信徒到送天宫的场地。庙宇人士与中坛元帅会敬茶,然后焚烧金纸,横幅,甘蔗与纸制衣冠。
The final ritual called Guo Ping An Qiao (过平安桥) which the Taoist priest will lead the devotees in crossing the bridge which bestow them with good health and longevity. The devotees first cross according to their zodiac sign, then everyone crosses the bridge together in the last round, with thirteen rounds in total.
最后一个仪式是为过平安桥。道师会带领信徒们过平安桥,以得到健康、长寿。信徒们根据生肖过桥,然后在最后一圈大家一起过桥,总共13圈。
Similar to the receiving ceremony, the sending off ceremony involves the trancing of Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai.
和请水仪式相同,送水仪式包括中坛元帅乩童起乩。
The trancing of the Nine Emperor Gods.
九皇大帝乩童起乩。
Female helpers of the temple are tasked to carry the Sedan Chair of Dou Mu Niang Niang, the mother of the Nine Emperor Gods. This Sedan Chair is to be carried by the ladies only which has been an old tradition of Shen Xian Gong.
庙宇女士们负责抬斗母娘娘的轿子(斗母轿)。斗母娘娘是九皇大帝的母亲。根据神仙宫的传统,只有女士们可以抬斗母轿。
On the other hand, male helpers of the temple carry the Sedan Chair for the Urn for the sending off ceremony.
在送水仪式中,男士们可以抬炉轿。
Helpers of the temple lifting the Dragon Boat into the sea, which is meant to send the Nine Emperor Gods back.
庙宇人士把龙船抬入海里,以送走九皇大帝。
The Dragon Boat is subsequently set on fire. The burning of the Dragon Boat symbolises the departure of the Nine Emperor Gods.
龙船后来被点燃。烧龙船象征九皇大帝的离开
Back at the temple, the Taoist priest and Zhong Tan Yuan Shuai concludes the sending off ceremony with the burning of incense papers to send off the deities.
回到帐篷,道师与中坛元帅烧金纸以送神。烧金纸后,送水仪式结束。
The end of the sending off ceremony also marks the end of the vegetarian diet as devotees enjoy the buffet with meat dishes.
送水仪式结束后,信徒们可以吃荤食,享用有肉类的自助餐。
